Jason Aviles a proud Dad, is the owner of FLYOGI, a mobile Yoga company that facilitates a holistic development program within schools, corporate environments and communities at large, Co-Owner of Green Box Kitchen, an award winning fast casual vegan restaurant, and Project Director of Wilmington Green Box, a 501(c)(3) Non Profit program that develops teens into skilled change-makers while providing communities access to healthy food.
Bronx native and graduate of the consciousness-based institution Maharishi University of Management (MUM), Aviles developed an original interdisciplinary course of study in Youth Development and Social Change. While attending MUM, Jason was introduced to Transcendental Meditation and Yoga, and lost over 60 pounds. After experiencing the profound impact Yoga had on his health and lifestyle, Jason obtained his Yoga instructor certification and started teaching. Currently, Jason has lost a total of 90 pounds.
Before teaching Yoga, Jason spent over 7 years professionally teaching and counseling youth in New York and Delaware. Named by The Delaware Business Times as one of Delaware’s top 40 under 40 achievers and innovators, he has lead several social impact ventures in Wilmington to support the holistic growth and development of his community. Most recently, Green Box Kitchen has won Best of Delaware for Vegan/Vegetarian Friendly Restaurant and was named by Yelp and Google as the top vegan restaurant in the state.
